Our Lady chose children not only as the messengers of God’s program to bring “an era of peace to mankind” but also as the instruments of her message. The Fatima Cadets are a youth apostolate committed to spreading the message of Fatima to the next generation of Catholics, traditionally open to children in grades 3-12. The Cadets feel called in a special way to honor our Lady’s requests and so pledge to try to do what she asked at Fatima, namely: pray the Rosary every day, wear the Brown Scapular, make the five First Saturdays, and offer God all the sacrifices necessary to keep his commandments while performing the duties of daily life. In this way they become living instruments of Our Lady’s message. She promises in turn to bring about the conversion of Russia, world peace, and the salvation of many souls. She left the shepherd children of Fatima, and the Cadets of today, with her assurance of hope: “In the end, my Immaculate Heart will triumph.”
