Our Mission

The World Apostolate of Fatima is a public association of the faithful under the Pontifical Council of the Laity whose mission is to urgently live and actively educate the world about the message of Fatima and its continued relevance in today’s world. For the salvation of souls and peace in our world, Our Lady of Fatima is imploring all the faithful to devote themselves to the following:

• Prayer and penance for conversion and reparation for sins

• Daily recitation of the Rosary

• Genuine devotion to the Eucharist

• Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary

• Practice of the Five First Saturdays devotion

What is a Public Association of the Faithful?
Only a public association can receive a mission to teach Christian doctrine in the name of the Church, promote public worship or pursue a purpose which by nature is reserved to ecclesiastical authority (canon 301 §1). As a public association, the members act in the name of the Church when fulfilling the purpose of the association.

Membership
The members of the World Apostolate of Fatima, spread throughout numerous countries of the world, commit themselves to become faithful witnesses of the Catholic faith in their own families, at work, in their parishes and communities, participating in this way in the New Evangelization. Membership in the organization is free. The minimum requirement for being a member of the World Apostolate is to make a pledge, promising to do the following:

1. To offer up every day the sacrifices demanded by one's daily duty to the faithful observance of God's law. (Morning Offering)

2. To say five decades of the Rosary daily while meditating on the mysteries.

3. To wear the brown scapular of Our Lady of Mount Carmel as a sign of personal consecration to our Lady.

4. On the first Saturday of five consecutive months, with the intention of making reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, confess and receive Holy Communion, recite five decades of the Rosary, and keep company with Our Lady for fifteen minutes while meditating on the mysteries of the Rosary.

In spreading the message of Fatima, members shall be united with the Holy Father and the bishops in union with him. When acting in the name of the World Apostolate, they must keep within the terms of the message of Fatima and the authorized practices of the Apostolate.
